Fur lovers come clean on problem
WITH the temperatures dropping, it's time to bring out the furs.
And very elegant some of the tai tais have looked as they traipse through the lobbies of our five-star establishments draped for warmth.
(Though one couldn't help feeling that the fur coats would have looked much nicer on the animals from whence they came).
But the fashion does seem to come with an in-built hassle.
At a weekend function we eavesdropped on a conversation between two furred tai tais as they discussed the problems of keeping their furs clean.
''I must give you the address of the dry cleaner that I use,'' said one.
''I sent in my leopard-skin coat to them last week and when it came back it was spotless.'' Now, could we make this kind of thing up even if we tried?
