Joyride ends in crash

A thief stole a minibus and drove for about 300 metres before ramming into the back of another minibus at the junction of Un Chau and Yen Chow streets in Sham Shui Po at about 2am yesterday. He escaped before police arrived. The other minibus driver, 67, suffered injuries to his chest and hands. He was treated at Caritas Medical Centre.

Minibus bursts into flames

A driver escaped injury when his minibus burst into flames in Sheung Shui at 6.10am. The fire started after the man, 61, detected a burning smell along Lung Sum Avenue, pulled over and got out to check. No one was injured and the fire was put out by firemen. An overheated engine was the suspected cause of the blaze.

Boy injured in accident

A boy, six, suffered head injuries in a four-vehicle crash in Kwun Tong. The collision involving a bus, car, truck and delivery van happened in Tseung Kwan O Road outside Kwun Tong police station at about 8.15am. The boy was a passenger in the car. He was treated at United Christian Hospital.

Stolen car found torched

A car which was reported stolen in Tsuen Wan in August was found abandoned and torched in Kwai Shing Circuit in Kwai Chung at about 5.10am. The blaze was put out by firemen.
