Tickets being sold for 72 times asking price

They might be hard to get hold of after this week's computer crash, but Olympic tickets are selling like over-priced hot cakes as mainlanders defy the law and go touting. As reported in the SCMP in September, 'Yellow Bull' scalpers are upping prices for the opening ceremony by as much as 72 times the asking price with a 5,000-yuan ticket to the ceremony going at an astronomical 360,000 yuan. Organisers said last month tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies could be transferred once but 'any resale of Olympic tickets for profit is illegal'.
