ITU, Huawei push technology development in poor countries

Huawei Technologies has signed a memorandum of understanding with the International Telecommunication Union to jointly promote the development of information and communications technologies in poor economies. CLSA replaces message service platform with Tibco product

CLSA is revamping its global trading system with the Enterprise Message Service platform from Tibco Software. The brokerage said global trading volumes had risen 40 per cent in recent years, leading to a fivefold increase in the amount of messages handled by its traders. Harvest Fund adopts Avaya communications systems

Harvest Fund Management is adopting the unified communications and call centre systems from US-based Avaya for an undisclosed sum to improve its services. China TransInfo enters into technology tie-up with Oracle

China TransInfo Technology Corp, a supplier of Geographic Information System technology in the mainland, has formed a partnership Oracle to work within the country's transport sector. Nation's offshore software outsourcing market grows 27.2pc

The mainland's offshore software outsourcing market grew 27.2 per cent year on year to 3.4 billion yuan in the second quarter this year, the latest estimates from Analysys International show. It named Neusoft Group, hiSoft Technology International and Insigma Technology as the top three offshore software outsourcing providers for the period.
