An exhibition featuring photographs of giraffes, elephants and other African animals brings the safari to the city.

Safari Snap Shots: African Wildlife and Landscapes is on at the Fringe Club in Central until Saturday.

The photos were taken by Jay and Shy Sala, who set up Safari Snap Shots in 2005.

Hoping to share their perspective of the majestic animals and stunning landscapes that remain in the unspoiled reserves of Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Tanzania, the pair have captured the natural beauty of the continent.

The photos include landscapes, birds and animals nurturing their young, resting, playing, hunting and being hunted.

Safari Snap Shots has published photos in multi-page spreads in several magazines, such as Metro Home. Some of the photos can also be viewed online at www.safarisnapshots.com

Part of the proceeds from this exhibition will be donated to charities Children in the Wilderness and the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
