Radio host and producer Chan King-chong appeared in the District Court yesterday for allegedly defrauding RTHK by falsely claiming HK$93,900 for his mother's scriptwriting and research services. Chan, 40, faces 12 deception charges, including false representation in 10 payment claims submitted between February 2001 and January 2002 that his mother, Wong Yuk-fong, had provided such services. No plea was taken yesterday.
