Mainland women stole the limelight at the FIVB Hong Kong Challenger, snatching the top two places in yesterday's final at Victoria Park. Wang Jie and Tian Jia beat compatriots Xi Zhang and Xue Chen 21-18, 21-16 to win the last tournament, which was part of the Hong Kong Beach Festival. Tian and Wang are ranked number two in the world and said the tournament was a good warm up for the challenge they would face when the world's best gather at next year's Beijing Olympics. Thailand's Usa Tenpaksee and Jarunee Sannok finished third after defeating Chinese pair Jin Jieqiong and Jian Zhongji 2-1 (21-23, 21-15, 15-13).
