Nick Faldo made an impressive start with a two-under-par round of 68 yesterday. 'I hit a lot of good shots and a few bad ones today, but that happens when you don't play for a long time,' said Faldo. 'Nothing was automatic today, I had to push myself to keep it going. The grain on the greens made putting very hard work.' Faldo revealed that he had spoken to a psychologist friend last week, who suggested some positive things to think about. 'I remembered a few things from the past which helped me to concentrate,' Faldo said. 'I thought about them during the round, but I won't tell you what they are.'
