Milan is Italy's economic capital and the second biggest city in the country. It has a population of 1.2 million.

I'm living with my host family in Mong Kok as an AFS exchange student. I'm studying at La Salle College.

Italy is not a big country, but the weather varies greatly from place to place. In general, we have a long, hot, dry summer and in winter, the temperature can drop to below freezing.

I was studying several subjects at school in Italy, including ancient Latin, ancient Greek, history, philosophy, Italian, English, German, science and history of art.

School life was very demanding, but I was able to cope. Luckily, I'm quite good at my studies, and I don't have to spend much time doing revision.

While other students study about four to five hours a day, I usually spend less than three hours on it. Italian is my first language, and I also speak English and German.

In my free time, I like playing football, reading and listening to music. I spend a lot of time with my friends. We go to the city centre or to the park.

During the summer, I always go to Tuscany in central Italy. But during other holidays I go overseas. I have been to all the continents except Australia and Antarctica. But this is my first visit to Hong Kong.

Pasta, meat and vegetables make up the majority of what I eat. My mother loves cooking, so I hardly cook. The only household chores I need to do are tidying up my room and making my bed.

We have a cat at home, and I like playing with it. I am not a very fashionable person, and I usually wear casual or sporty outfits. I choose most of my clothing.

Italian food is world famous, and I love all the different cuisines from around the country.

Besides food, I am passionate about Italian art and culture and football. I am a huge fan of Javier Zanetti, the captain of Inter Milan.

I believe Italian people love soccer so much because it's all about team spirit. Apart from football, I like all kinds of pop music and movies.

I don't have many friends because I don't relate to the average Italian teenager. But the friends I have are loyal and interesting.

Though it may be too early to think about the future, my dream is to be a lawyer.

Italy is a Catholic country, so the most important festival is Christmas. Every year, I have a big dinner with my relatives to celebrate the festival.
