Pepper spray used on drunken brawlers

Police used pepper spray and a dog to subdue a man, 35, who kicked a police van and attacked a sergeant during a fight in Tsim Sha Tsui yesterday. The brawl between two parties started in Prat Avenue at 6.55am. The eight men involved appeared to have been drunk. Officers from the Kowloon West police emergency unit arrested seven of them, aged 26 to 36, who, along with the sergeant, were treated at Queen Elizabeth Hospital for their injuries. The eighth man escaped. The men were being held last night and no charges had been laid.
