CUHK students honoured in technology contest

Two students from Chinese University have won a special technology award after raising HK$500,000 to build a primary school for 100 children in Guangxi autonomous region. Karen Kiang Ngai-sze, 26, and Louis Yim Ying-kit, 25, won the award in the 10th Challenge Cup, a national university technology competition. The architecture graduates are building a village primary school and improving water access for the Yao ethnic minority. Another student Sunny Chan Ngai-shing, 27, who graduated from CUHK with an MPhil, won a special award for his 'Millimetre-Scale Turning Centre' for repairing mechanical watches and electronic components.
