University arm looking to fill business lines position

ETI Consulting (ETIC), a subsidiary of the University of Hong Kong, is looking for a senior sales manager to lead the professional service group (PSG) specialising in business intelligence and application services platform solutions and services.
'The senior sales manager will take care of business lines and oversee sales strategy, managing a team of sales professionals to meet revenue targets,' said Johnson Yim Ngok-hon, senior manager, professional services. 'This role is important because the company's growth depends on the senior sales manager and how he or she can effectively execute the sales plan.'
ETIC is a total solutions provider specialising in e-business services and solutions that facilitate the transfer of e-business technologies developed by the university's E-Business Technology Institute.
'This job would suit someone who wants a good opportunity to implement state-of-the-art technology,' he said.
The candidate would be responsible for technology transfer, product and solution commercialisation, business and marketing development and client relationship management and the total profit and loss of the PSG.
Creativity is important in this job to deploy new technology for various businesses. A sharp business sense is also essential, as is an amiable character.
'We really look at the person's creativity and whether they have good interpersonal skills,' he said. 'That is our focus during the selection period, more so than knowledge in such things as data management experience ... because you have to drive and motivate a team and keep up relations with clients.'
