Samsung Electronics, the world's second-largest laser-printer manufacturer, has responded to customer demand for innovative product design with its ML-1630. With a design reminiscent of a stately black grand piano, the new monochrome laser printer is the market's slimmest, measuring a mere 11cm in thickness - about two-thirds the size of competing products.

To increase its stylishness further, the printer has a blue light-emitting diode scan-process indicator, soft-touch sensors and melodic alerts. Its print speed is up to 16 A4-size pages per minute. Paper jams can be cleared easily after the semi-automatic docking cassette has been removed. Samsung's ML-1630 laser printer costs HK$1,699.
