South China thrash nine-man Rangers

South China took a giant step towards defending their Choi Fung Hong Senior Shield title, thrashing Bulova Rangers 4-0 yesterday in a match at Mong Kok Stadium that saw Rangers finish with just nine men. Rangers'Godfried Karikari was red carded in the 24th minute and the team were reduced to nine men after Jean Kilama was given his marching orders for a second bookable offence 10 minutes before time. Meanwhile, Convoy Sun Hei defender Cristiano Cordeiro was sent off in the 74th minute of his team's 3-0 loss to Happy Valley in an earlier quarter-final, but Valley were well in control by then. South China will play Kitchee in the semi-finals on December 8, while Valley will take on Eastern.
