Officer to reappear over girl's STD
A policeman, 43, will have to face court again over allegations that he indecently assaulted his four-year-old foster daughter, the Court of Appeal ruled yesterday. Previously, the court quashed the senior constable's conviction of indecent assault after it found his trial had been poorly managed. The charges arose when the girl was diagnosed with gonorrhea in 2005. She was infected shortly after the policeman, who caught the disease from a prostitute, passed it on to his wife. The girl made the claims in two interviews with police. The judge at the trial questioned the reliability of the interviews.
