Olivier Cril from the House of Lanson will host a champagne lunch tomorrow at Crown Wine Cellars at Shouson Hill. The four-course meal includes warm slipper lobster salad with asparagus and vine-ripened tomatoes, paired with Lanson Noble Cuvee Blanc de Blancs 1995, handmade pumpkin ravioli with black truffle flakes with the Lanson Brut 1979 in a magnum, and fresh berries with mint and vanilla ice cream, served with Ivory Label Demi-Sec NV. Winemakers and chateaux owners from several Bordeaux wineries will be at the Fico Limited dinner on Saturday at the Bankers Club in Central. The six-course meal includes pan-fried duck liver with mango compote, paired with the Chateau Haut Bages Liberal 5eme Cru Classe 1998 from Pauillac, grilled veal chop with morel sauce, served with the Chateau Citran Cru Bourgeois 1996 from Haut Medoc and the Chateau Gruaud Larose 2eme Cru Classe 1996 from St Julien, and assorted Herve Mons farmhouse cheeses, served with the Chateau Ferriere 3eme Cru Classe 1995 from Margaux. Sabatini Ristorante at the Royal Garden in Tsim Sha Tsui is featuring white truffles. Guests can try dishes such as potato baked with egg yolk on fontina cheese fondue with white truffle, homemade fettuccine with butter and white truffle, raviolo filled with potato mash, asparagus, free-range egg and white truffle, and black chocolate fondant with white truffle. China House restaurant in the APM mall is serving a three-course king crab meal priced at HK$1,600 for four to six persons. The crustacean is cooked as king crab legs with garlic (left), deep-fried king crab with chilli and pepper and fried rice with king crab paste. The king crab meal must be ordered one day in advance.
