The final Super Series tournament appears even less likely to take place after China said yesterday they would not take part.

The tournament was thrown into disarray when the original host, Qatar, announced this month it would be unable to do so and the alternative, Kuala Lumpur, was also ruled out.

It is believed China will gather for a month-long camp in Zhuhai after the Hong Kong Open, which means all their top players would not be available for the tournament, scheduled for December 18-23.
