Tsuen Wan Public Ho Chuen Yiu Memorial College

This year, Tsuen Wan Public Ho Chuen Yiu Memorial College held its school outing at Butterfly Beach.

Everyone met at the school first before taking a bus to the beach, where students enjoyed a barbeque with teachers.

With their stomachs filled with delicious food, students took pictures of the scenery and spent time swimming.

Others played dodge ball on the beach with school staff. Sandcastles were also built.

The ideal weather made the day extremely enjoyable.

As the day drew to a close, everyone helped tidy up and photographs were taken.

We felt the day went by too quickly. We had to leave just when we were having so much fun.

It was one of the best school outings in a long time.

Maryknoll Convent School

This year, the social service committee of Maryknoll Convent School helped set up a game stall at the annual Caritas Bazaar.

The game involved volunteers spinning a cardboard flower with several petals.

On each petal, there was either a positive phrase, such as 'to be helpful', or a negative phrase, such as 'to be selfish'.

Contestants had to throw balls at the flower and make sure they landed on the positive phrases in order to win.

Student volunteers handed out windmills to promote the game stall.

The aim of the game was to teach people the importance of helping those in need.

The stall attracted many children. Judging from the smiles from their faces, it was clear they enjoyed the game.

Setting up the game booth was tiring for volunteers, but worthwhile as it was so well received.
