Distributor seeks regional marketing manager

Avnet, a B2B distributor of semiconductors, interconnect, passive and electromechanical components, enterprise network, computer equipment and embedded subsystems from leading manufacturers is on the hunt for a regional marketing manager, Asia-Pacific.
The meticulous person with excellent analytical skills would be responsible for setting price strategies, the bottom line price, maintaining profit and monitoring profit and loss of product lines.
Being marketing savvy is critical in this as the ultimate objective is to make it easy to sell products. The person must also be in tune with up-to-date business strategy developments which would affect the company.
Other duties include liaising to get special prices for products, controlling other costs related to products and working closely with sales and marketing teams and marketing communications to launch products.
Someone experienced in microcontroller and communication applications - wired or wireless - would have an advantage.
The person must have strong interpersonal skills to work with material management teams to achieve optimum levels of inventory that are necessary to support the product line business.
Aside from eight years of sales and marketing experience in the semiconductor industry, three of which related to product marketing, a belief in continuous learning, initiation, innovation and integrity and a passion for the job is also required.
