A hot market has spurred this property consulting firm to expand operations, and if you want to be part of it, start dusting that resume.

Vigers, an international property consultant covering all types of valuation and consultancy work, is looking for an associate director for its full report section in anticipation of expansion plans in light of the market forecast of a major property boom.

'We are hiring to cope with the envisaged active local property market for the coming year and to assist us in the continuous expansion of this department,' said David Cheung Wang-ip, executive director and head of the Hong Kong and Macau team.

The role, which spans the whole region including Greater China and Southeast Asian countries, would prove to be rewarding to a young chartered valuation surveyor with about five to eight years of post qualification work experience in Hong Kong, Macau and the mainland.

The associate director would be the middle manager in charge of the section. Six people would be reporting to this post.

'The role is basically very challenging as it will offer a young surveyor a good chance to handle professional work independently, to meet with property developers and large investment funds and to carry out financial due diligence work for complicated property deals,' he said.
