The head of the Equal Opportunities Commission says he supports a campaign to give disabled people fare concessions on public transport. Speaking on International Day of Disabled Persons yesterday, Raymond Tang Yee-Bong said the watchdog had been working towards advancing equal opportunities for the disabled since its establishment in 1996. 'Public transport plays an essential role in tackling social exclusion,' he said. The commission plans to release a report on methods of addressing the issue.
