Racing fans may be gearing up for the derbies at this Sunday's Hong Kong International Races at the Sha Tin Racecourse - which some call the 'Turf World Championships' - but there's just as much to get excited about before the horses are off.

The Cathay Pacific-sponsored event will hold a gala party tomorrow evening in Stanley and they've invited velvety jazz diva Laura Fygi (pictured) to perform at Murray House. The organisers will also feature a kung fu fighting performance by the Beijing Shaolin Martial Arts School performing team. That's as unusual a double bill as we've ever heard.

Sadly, the soiree is invitation only.
