Travel agency must change 'D Land' name
A travel agency has been ordered to change its name after the High Court found it gave the impression that the business was linked to Walt Disney Company. 'D Land', set up in November 1999, and its director Mak Wai-yin were sued by Walt Disney Co, Disney Enterprises and Walt Disney Asia-Pacific over the use of 'D Land' and its Chinese name. Mr Justice Poon Siu-chor yesterday ordered the name 'D Land' removed and ordered the company to pay damages of an amount to be decided.
