Busy executive signs up for basic training at beauty boot camp

People talk about makeovers but few actually go through the process, especially one as rigorous as local marketing executive Sunna Hong is enduring. The Hong Kong-based Korean single mother embarked on a 'beauty boot camp' for a new website called Redlife-Asia.com, which plans to make her look '10 years younger in two weeks'.

The 14-day basic training includes going to a Kim Robinson stylist for hair, a colour stylist, a makeup artist, Botox dermatology treatments and workouts.

'I just turned 37,' says Hong, who describes herself as a typical exhausted executive. 'So I told myself that before I turn 40 I should really maximise my youth - the little bit that is left of me.

'But I am very lazy about working out and very generous to myself when it comes to eating. It has been very difficult to get myself started on a proper exercise/diet.'

Hong is in the middle of the programme, which started last Wednesday. She's obviously happy to get the sponsored makeover and the motivation, but she is realistic.

'So do I believe within two weeks I will look 10 years younger? Probably no, but at least I will get professional help on how to eat, dress, do hair, take care of my skin and exercise. I will consider myself lucky and already successful if I go through all six sessions of training and somehow keep this up for a few months.'

You can see Hong's results when www.redlife-asia.com launches on December 21.
