A man who fled after allegedly attacking his girlfriend with two knives in their Mong Kok flat in a domestic dispute is being sought. The woman, 35, was in stable condition in Kwong Wah Hospital after the attack in Man On Street.

Mother, son arrested over row

Police arrested a boy, 15, and his mother for fighting in the family's Mong Kok flat early yesterday. The teenager first scuffled with his father, 56, over the use of a computer in the flat in Fuk Tsun Street. His mother, 45, then struck the boy with a plastic bottle and a metal rod before calling police. The boy suffered hand, shoulder and abdominal injuries, and his mother facial injuries. Both were treated at Kwong Wah Hospital.

Three hurt in delivery can crash

Three people, including a four-year-old girl, suffered minor injuries when a delivery van mounted a traffic island at Tai Kok Tsui Road and Fuk Lee Street, Mong Kok. Meanwhile, a driver escaped serious injury when his dump truck slammed into a noise abatement screen on the central divider in Wong Chu Road, Tuen Mun.

Man convinced not to jump

A man threatened to jump off the Tsing Ma Bridge in an hour-long standoff with police and fire officers overnight. The man, 40, got out of his car, climbed over railings and threatened to leap after a row with his girlfriend, who tried to reason with him before emergency crews arrived. After an hour of negotiations, the man returned to the carriageway.
