Wardrobe staple?

Rogan T-shirts; Etro dress shirts for work; and Ksubi jeans.

What do you wear to work?

My look is more smart-casual these days. Trovata from California has a quirky and preppy look - lots of stripes and secret pockets with well-textured quality fabric.

Define your style

I aim for sartorial elegance. For work, preppy with colour and plushness for the evening.

Fashion no-nos?

Men who dress/talk like they're 'brothers' from Brooklyn.

Favourite shoe designer?

Dsquared, they're spot on with their designs and have cool sneakers and suave dress shoes.

Must-have accessories?

I'm not a big accessory man but I love my Officine Panerai watch.

Most cherished fashion item?

A US baseball jacket given to me by a girl I fancied.

Favourite fashion designer(s)?

Martin Margiela, Issey Miyake, Dsquared and Trovata.

Favourite colour?

Gun-metal grey because it goes with everything. Pink business shirts and ties always brighten things up.

Must have winter items?

Anything from R.M. Williams for a touch of Aussie outback style.

How many ties do you have?

About 90, from US$1 ones to Brioni.

Style icon?

David Byrne and D'Angelo.

What is your fashion obsession?

Tom Ford sunglasses. Plus I spare no expense for a belt.

Metrosexual or neandersexual?

I hate labels, my friends would say metro, but I know I'm a neander.

Shoes or trainers?

A gentleman prefers shoes.

Favourite shops?

Martin Margiela and Shine.
