PCCW IMS is suing Hong Kong Broadband Network for more than HK$1 million in damages over newspaper advertisements that were published this month. PCCW IMS, which offers the Netvigator service, filed a claim against its rival operator in the High Court on Monday. It claims the ads - in the form of a cartoon lampooning claims made by an apparently fictional internet service provider with a name similar to that of PCCW IMS - were defamatory and malicious.
