Making of well-rounded students

Education should not just focus on academic work. The government should promote Liberal Studies among young people.

The subject focuses on current affairs, which is a good way for students to acquire general knowledge. It also helps to raise students' interest in politics, which is better than the 'talk and chalk' method used in the classroom.

To promote interest in the subject, lively games and activities can be organised. The games can help students explore new concepts, such as civic rights and freedom.

Young people must be prepared to cope with the challenges facing Hong Kong's fast-changing society. They should be civic-minded and contribute to society.

Liberal Studies can also develop students' analytical power. It's better to give students an all-round education.
