Two fireman suffered slight burns to their faces in a fire that triggered gas explosions at a 25-year-old Kwun Yam temple in Wong Tai Sin yesterday. A government spokesman said visitors to the temple at Jat's Incline accidentally started a fire when burning offerings at about 12.40pm. The fire, which took an hour to put out, triggered explosions of liquefied petroleum gas. Fire officials said the temple might have had too many gas containers after they found 20 in a storage area, which they said might be an illegal construction.
