Police are investigating whether the driver of a van who was killed in a crash near Ho Ha, Sai Kung, was involved in smuggling. The man, surnamed Lam, was driving along Hoi Ha Road when he lost control of the light goods van. It crashed into a tree and Lam was trapped. Firemen took 45 minutes to pull him out. He was pronounced dead at hospital. Computer disk drives and parts were found in the van without shipping lists.
