Kyoto Joe in Lan Kwai Fong is featuring special ingredients from Hokkaido. The menu includes thinly sliced flounder sashimi with sweet vinegar and kimchi sauce, steamed Japanese kegani crab with lime ponzu sauce, mixed seaweed salad and soy-wasabi sauce, grilled Hokkaido king crab leg with bafun sea urchin and butter egg sauce, and lightly seared Japanese Saga beef slices with teriyaki sauce. The Peninsula has a 'cruise and dine' package until the end of February. Guests can sip champagne as they take a 45-minute cruise around the harbour on the Star Ferry's Shining Star boat before going to the hotel's Lobby Lounge for a three-course set dinner for two with a bottle of Peninsula wine. For the main course there's rolled sole fillet with lemon dill cream, herb potatoes and broccoli Polonaise or pan-roasted boneless spring chicken with buttery fingerling potatoes and fried onion rings.
