Distiller and crystal-maker line up a glam dram

Scotch whisky brand The Macallan celebrated its latest collaboration with French crystal-maker Lalique at a VIP cocktail party at the Lalique Lounge in Central on December 7.

The Macallan 55-year-old in a Lalique decanter is the second in a series of six collaborations between the two brands. Each decanter took up to 25 craftspeople to produce. Of the 420 available globally, five were here in Hong Kong.

The evening kicked off with traditional Scottish bagpipe music followed by a detailed presentation by MC Eydie Tai Ni-ting and The Macallan's Ryan Hill. Guests included John Galvin, Julian Galvin, Samira Soufi, Perveen Crawford and Angus Wilkinson.
