Master of Science in Intelligent Building Technology and Management, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

This programme is designed for professionals in the building services industry. It consists of core courses that equip students with the basic foundations on intelligent building technology and management concepts. A variety of electives cover topics from safety and health issues, risk management and energy management, to impact analysis and the use of advanced building materials, indoor air quality and facility management. The programme aims to provide a balance between both frontier technology updates and management strategies. Requirements A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, architectural science, building services engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, physical science or in a related field. Cost The programme fee is HK$84,000, payable in two installments for full-time students and four installments for part-time students. Aid Government non-means tested loan scheme for eligible students. The Continuing Education Fund is also available for eligible students, who may be reimbursed with a maximum of HK$10,000 on successful completion of the entire programme with an overall attendance rate over 70 per cent. Master of Science in Integrated Circuit (IC) Design Engineering, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

This course is designed for professionals and students with a bachelor's degree in science or engineering who wish to acquire an in-depth and broad-based knowledge in integrated circuit design. Requirements Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering, engineering or physical sciences, or an equivalent qualification. Cost The tuition fee is HK$84,000 payable in installments. Students admitted with credit transfer are also required to pay the full programme fee. Aid Government non-means tested loan scheme for eligible students. Master of Science (Eng) in Environmental Engineering, The University of Hong Kong

This programme aims to provide in-depth theoretical and practical training for students, and was created to cater to the increasing demand for further specialisation in the field of civil engineering. Requirements Applicants for admission should have a bachelor's degree from the University of Hong Kong in engineering, or an equivalent qualification in an appropriate field of study from another university or institution of recognised standing, in the following areas: civil engineering, environmental engineering, environmental technology, chemical engineering, water resources engineering, mechanical engineering or environmental related sciences. Cost HK$6,700 for each module. Aid Based on various criteria, a range of scholarships are available from the Department of Civil Engineering Scholarship Scheme. Master of Science/Postgraduate Diploma in Electronic and Information Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University

This programme aims to provide graduates of electronic and information engineering, computer science and related disciplines with an opportunity for further study at postgraduate level. Students can choose from a broad range of core subjects in multimedia technologies, telecommunications and electronics that enable them to meet new challenges and tap new opportunities in their fields. They can also acquire the latest technical know-how by taking specialised subjects in a chosen area that gives emphasis to cutting edge issues. Students who have managerial responsibilities can take electives in business or management according to their interests and career needs. Requirements An honours degree in engineering, science or technology, chartered engineering or an equivalent qualification. Consideration will also be given to candidates without honours degrees, but with other relevant qualifications that are supplemented by appropriate work experience. Cost HK$2,500 per credit. Aid Government non-means tested loan scheme offered to eligible students. A number of scholarships are available to students recommended by their heads of departments.
