Mercury set to tumble

A cold front will send the minimum temperature down to 12 degrees Celsius today. The Observatory issued the cold weather warning at 4.20pm yesterday and said temperatures in the New Territories could dip below 12 degrees. Senior scientific officer Cheng Cho-ming said the cold front would bring cool and dry weather for the next few days, with a temperature range of about 14 to 17 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday, then rising.
