Use computers in moderation

Computers have become one of the prerequisites of modern life. The reason is that they have so many functions that help us deal with problems. We can use them to watch online news, play games and communicate with our friends and relatives who live abroad.

I couldn't live without my computer. I need it for my homework and to search for information when I have to do a project. I also like to communicate with my friends on my computer rather than my mobile phone.

My computer has special meaning to me. My mother gave it to me as a present when I was in Form One. I treasure it very much. I hope I can use it to do some of the important things in my life.

From the Editor

Thanks for your letter, Eric. It is true that computers play a very important role in our lives. The economy might not be able to function without computers.

Computers have also revolutionised communication. We can talk to and even see our friends in different parts of the world.

Nevertheless, we should not completely depend on computers. Computers do malfunction, and the internet could break down. We should use computers in moderation and retain some personal touches, such as writing letters to our friends and loved ones.

We should not spend all our time in front of the computer because it's bad for our eyes, and it distracts us from other things.
