A man remanded to Lai Chi Kok Reception Centre on a drug charge on Wednesday was yesterday found to have swallowed 33 packets of suspected heroin. Acting on a tip-off that he may have ingested drugs, staff put the 54-year-old man in an isolation cell, where he later passed the packets. In a separate case, a 25-year-old woman remanded to Tai Lam Centre for Women on Wednesday on a drug charge was found to have a plastic bag containing suspected ketamine in her mouth.
