Vanness Wu directs video for a change
Vanness Wu Jian-hao wants to be more than a pop star. The former Taiwan teen idol from F4 is now making his move behind the camera, too.
Recently, Nike hired him to write a song, and direct and choreograph a dance-oriented TV ad using the music. The result, featuring Bernice Liu Bik-yee (pictured with him below), premiered this week at an afternoon event at the APM mall in Kwun Tong.
'This is my first time directing a video for a song I wrote,' Wu said. 'Even though I had a really tight schedule and only a few days to make the video and ad, it was nice to work with Bernice. She's very professional and focused hard on learning the routine flawlessly.'
The two even performed the song, She's Not Sorry, on stage, with Wu singing live and the sporty Liu joining a chorus of dancers shaking their thing.
'I'm lucky because I love dancing. It's an important part of my life,' said the actress, who spent her birthday early in the new year working on the video. 'It's got to be one of the most memorable birthdays for me working on it in Taiwan.'
