Result-oriented sales leader wanted for regional role

A market leader in developing integrated circuits for data, voice and image transmissions for wired and wireless environments is looking for a regional sales manager. If you are result-oriented and an achiever, send in your resume now.

Gemini Executive Search is handling the search. 'The sales manager role is crucial to the company business as the jobholder is managing a region generating significant revenue for the company,' said senior consultant Anita Mok.

A candidate with a degree in electronic engineering and at least 10 years of sales experience at a multinational corporation in the semiconductor industry, or silicon components, is sought.

The candidate would be responsible for defining, building and maintaining a portfolio of customers in Greater China and North Asia, so previous exposure to the region would be a definite advantage, Ms Mok said. 'We need someone aggressive, who is result-oriented and able to balance the interests of the company and distributors. The jobholder has to work independently to achieve sales targets.'

To be successful in this role, the manager must stay abreast of market trends and be able to react swiftly to clients' demands. The candidate would 'own and control all aspects of the relationships with the customer in technical, financial, planning, scheduling and customer satisfaction'.

Other duties include exploring new business opportunities, preparing sales forecasts and analysis, and visiting customers and distributors.
