Nude ankle stockings worn with any type of shoe, especially strappy high-heeled sandals.

Must-have accessory?

Elastic bands to pull my hair off my face.

Favourite shoe designer?

Every season, a shoe designer catches my fancy, but I tend to buy classic styles. One of my favourites is still my pair of black suede ankle boots from Jimmy Choo.

Flats or stilettos?

Stilettos for looking sexy, otherwise it's flats for everyday wear.

Most cherished fashion items?

Long black leather over-the-elbow opera gloves found in a small boutique in Rome.

Most expensive accessory?

Custom designed Cartier engagement ring.

Who's your favourite designer?

I like Celine's sleek and feminine designs, Versace has the most eye-catching eveningwear, and Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana are always sexy. Most times though, I prefer one-of-a-kind boutique pieces.

Favourite trend this season?

Large leather Obi-like belts.

High-end or high street?

I buy basics items from high street shops but high-end staples complete the outfit.

Fashion disaster?

The 1980s: Acid wash jeans, perm, braces ... Good thing I don't have many photos from those days.

Your fashion style?

Low maintenance. North American casual most of the time and simple but sexy classic when out on the town.

Your best high-street steal?

Velvet beaded Chinese slippers. They would sell them for a lot at Urban Outfitters and they're only HK$20 in the markets here!

Best kept fashion secret?

Crown's Optical in New World Tower is my favourite place for designer eyewear - I can't leave with just one pair.

Three things you can't do without?

Jeans, sunglasses and a large warm scarf.

Personal style philosophy?

Have fun playing with looks when going out but keep it simple for everyday life.
