HK quintet off to strong starts

All five Hong Kong players made winning starts at the Korea Super Series in Seoul yesterday. Women's fifth seed Wang Chen led the way, overcoming Lee Hyun-jin of the hosts 14-21, 21-7, 21-9. Zhou Mi and Yip Pui-yin will play each other after breezing past Russia's Ella Diehl and England's Tracey Hallam, respectively. In men's singles, Chan Yan-kit beat Sairul Amar Ayob of Malaysia 21-13, 21-17 and faces China's world number one Lin Dan. Ng Wei beat Przemyslaw Wacha of Poland 21-19, 16-21, 21-19 and faces fifth-seeded Dane Peter Gade.
