Eastern Saga looks good bet

AT a near deserted Sha Tin yesterday morning, only a handful of horses went against the clock with French riders Eric Legrix and Eric Saint Martin the busiest on the track.

Legrix worked Eastern Saga in preparation for Saturday's Red Packet Handicap for Class Three sprinters down the straight course and the gelding went better than he has shown in recent outings. Eastern Saga is very much at home down the straight course and Legrix has been having a tremendous start to 1994.

Thunder Bolt, recently entered for the Derby, was one of two horses down to run in the Classic Trial to work out yesterday. Thunder Bolt was not asked to do much but certainly seems to be holding his form.

The enigmatic Owner's Dream worked out in preparation for his engagement in the Volunteers Challenge Cup on Saturday and went well for Rambo Tse Wai-ho, who was successful on Green Maple last Saturday. And keep Iron Horse in mind for an upcoming race in Class Three. The Peter Tse Yan-sid galloper has been out twice this season and is coming to himself.
