Clean up your resume and get ready for this job at a company that has plans for major growth in the area of sourcing and manufacturing in the mainland.

Bissell, a long established American-based manufacturer of household cleaning products, is shopping for a quality and sourcing manager to help drive and manage all suppliers and manufacturing partners' quality activities.

A mechanical engineer, or equivalent, with more than 10 years of solid experience in the field of quality management in manufacturing electrical appliances is sought to lead a small team to work closely with suppliers on product quality, manufacturing process control and other corrective action plans, execution and review.

Reporting to the senior director of Asia, the person will also play an active role in sourcing new suppliers.

Although the position is based in Hong Kong, frequent travel to southern China must be expected, so practical people management experience in the mainland is necessary.

Bissell seeks someone who has strong exposure in plastic injection moulding and mechanical components, and experience in common quality standard and process control implementations.

A good standard of English and Putonghua is a must.
