The bedlinen, silverware and wine collection might not be for sale, but about 250 unique items from The Ritz-Carlton will be auctioned off next month.

Major items ranging from artworks to chandeliers will be available as people get a chance to own a piece of one of the first five-star hotels in Central. A catalogue of the auction items will be published this week for the February 16 sale.

The hotel's owner, Lai Sun Development, has brought in experts to examine some of the sale items.

Hotel staff will get first chance to buy some items, and a liquidator will resell much of the furniture and furnishings to other hotels.

The catalogue will include an ornate chandelier from the lobby, statues, porcelain and paintings.
