Preening themselves

Preen designers Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi will, for the first time, produce two runway shows for the autumn/winter 2008 season. The duo plan to show their main line in New York and the younger and edgier Preen Line at Copenhagen Fashion Week.

Jimmy Choo creative director Tamara Mellon is suing her mother, Ann Yeardye, for breach of contract. According to, Yeardye allegedly received stock in Jimmy Choo by mistake that was rightfully Mellon's when the family-held company was sold in 2004.

Valentino takes a bow

Retiring Italian designer Valentino (above) showed his last ever haute couture collection at the Spring 2008 shows in Paris. The designer took his final bow amid a bevy of models in identical gowns in Valentino's signature red hue. Valentino: The Last Emperor - a documentary paying homage will debut at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
