The owner of the defaced King Yin Lei mansion has submitted his proposal for preserving the iconic Mid-Levels home to the Town Planning Board. The public has three weeks to comment on it. The owner, whose identity has not been revealed, wants to swap the building for an adjacent site on which he can build five houses. The plans can be viewed at the Planning Department inquiry counter at the North Point Government Offices in Java Road.
