Former district councillor Lo Chiu-fai is suing the Hospital Authority for negligence over the death of his wife from lymphoma. A District Court writ claims unspecified damages and says negligence occurred during treatment of Yip Siu-lin, 52, at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Kwong Wah Hospital between November 2004 and February 2005. Mr Lo says his wife was admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in November but was not treated for lymphoma until January.
