Opera virtuoso Chu Kam-lan wears a 57-feather kingfisher hair ornament called 'Green Phoenix Unfurls Her Wings' at the Exhibition of Beijing Opera Art and Design in the World Trade Centre in Causeway Bay yesterday. This rare, historic hair ornament, of a sort usually worn by the female lead in operas and not made after the Qing dynasty, has twice the number of feathers that were normally used. It is among items that will be on show until February 17.
