Antonia Black complained about two different booking periods on her 'buy one, get one free' business-class tickets to Vancouver with Oasis Hong Kong Airlines.
'There were differences between the booking period (expired September 13) and the travel period (up to December 14, initially, but then extended to March 2008), however I only read the promotional material and not the conditions. When I made my online booking for the first ticket on September 11 there was no information or warning to advise that the booking period would expire two days later.
'In any event I telephoned the company the same day to determine if I was required to make the booking for the second ticket at the same time but was told there was no need. When I tried to book my second ticket on November 9, I was told I had 'lost' it!'
An Oasis spokesman said: 'Let me begin by reiterating the booking period and travel period of this promotion as was shown on our website: promotion booking period: July 12, 2007 to September 13, 2007. Travel period: July 20, 2007 to December 14, 2007 (travel period for free tickets was extended to March 29, 2008.)
'Our terms and conditions stated the 'booking period for both the paid and free tickets' was the same as the promotion booking period shown above. This is clearly shown on the printout we have enclosed for your information.
