Be grateful for what you have
A lot of people complain that they always have bad luck and that life is sad. But I think there is happiness all around us.
If you are woken up early by bright sunshine, instead of being annoyed, be grateful that you have a lovely day ahead.
If you are exhausted when you go to bed, be grateful that you had a busy day and got home safely.
Life is full of happiness. If you have a grateful heart, you will see the positive side in everything that happens.
For example, if you can't get your favourite dish at a restaurant, remember that there are children who can't get any food at all.
Don't always imagine you are unlucky. Try to be grateful for everything. You'll find that life is full of happiness and good things.
Being happy is actually an easy task!

Thank you for your letter, Mandy. You're right: a lot of people imagine that their life is unfair. They feel that they have to work longer, sleep less and get paid less than others.
But, in Hong Kong at least, most of us are very fortunate. We live in a great city with plenty of opportunities. We're surrounded by beautiful scenery and many different cultures.
While everybody experiences problems in their life, if we remember all our good experiences, we can overcome any difficulties.
We should be grateful for the good things in our lives instead of dwelling on the bad.
Even when we're feeling down, by remembering what we have - family members who love us, somewhere to go home to at the end of the day and friends to talk to - we can be happy every day.
