Designer: Masamichi Katayama.
'He is best known for conceiving the interiors of the Bape [A Bathing Ape] stores ... his concepts turn shopping from a potentially mundane process into an experience.'
Jeans: Louis Vuitton. 'They're a great colour, which doesn't seem to fade. I can wear them to meetings and events without feeling underdressed.'
Cologne: Issey Miyake's L'Eau Bleue d'Issey. 'I was using the original L'Eau d'Issey when I first went to Japan. I am happy the brand has released a cologne that seems to be a woody, grown-up version of the first ... we've come a long way together.'
Shoes: Ecco. 'For range and comfort, this brand is a favourite. I also really like Dolce & Gabbana shoes - it makes some crazy styles.'
Flowers: orchids. 'They are so proud and beautiful but very delicate.'
Hero: 'My dog, Max. As long as he has food and sleep, he seems to be entirely satisfied with his life. It would be great to be happy with so little.'
Getaway: 'I just stayed on my father-in-law's boat in Sydney Harbour for a week. To be on the water, away from everything - cars, people, advertising, noise - was refreshing. I woke up every morning with the Opera House, by one of Denmark's greatest design icons, Jorn Utzon, outside my window.
Reading: Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. 'I was one of the many who loved The Da Vinci Code, so I really looked forward to this prequel.'
On the MP3: 'I have a mix of contemporary and older stuff - I like the Kings of Leon, Foo Fighters, David Bowie, the Rolling Stones, Michael Buble and John Mayer.'
Two things to take to a desert island: 'Watching TV show Lost, I've realised nothing is of much use on a desert island - the best thing to have is company. I'd take my wife and one of my friends.'
